Leading with Obeya

Obeya, Japanese for "big room", is a visual management workspace that acts as the central nervous system for your team. It pulls your entire organizational system onto the wall so everyone can see the truth in one glance. This two-day, highly interactive training connects executive strategy to daily operations.

About this training

Not a typical
classroom training

How much time does your leadership team spend shuffling between spreadsheets, dashboards, and alignment meetings just to figure out what is actually happening? Most organizations do not suffer from a lack of data. They suffer from a lack of overview.

This two-day, highly interactive training introduces you to Obeya, the Japanese visual management system that connects executive strategy to daily operations. This experience is designed to be deeply practical. You will bring your own real-world leadership challenges to the table and actively design a workspace that replaces fragmented status updates with meaningful, decisive conversations.

What stuck with me was how much came from the other participants and how we learned so much from each other. Very nice format!

The two days flew by. I expected a theory course and got a workshop instead. It was great!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a training?

Every certified training includes the course itself, the certification and a full set of materials:

  • Lunch and coffee breaks (classroom trainings only)
  • Course documentation, checklists and further reading tips
  • Access to our experienced Scrum coaches to support you hands-on when you start implementing
  • A deck of Planning Poker cards (classroom trainings only)
  • The certification test and your certificate
  • A 2-year Scrum Alliance membership, giving you access to their resources
  • PDU credits needed for PMI certification
What certificate do I get after an iLean training?

You receive the official certificate for the course you attend, issued by the certifying body rather than by iLean. Our Scrum courses lead to Scrum Alliance certificates: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM).

Courses that are not tied to an external certification, such as our Advanced Product Owner training and Leading with Obeya, come with an iLean certificate of attendance.

How do I register for an iLean training?

Pick your date on our training overview and register via our website. You add the session to your cart and complete the checkout, after that you’ll receive your confirmation by email. We will create an invoice and send it to you via email afterwards.

Every date on our website lists its venue, language, trainer and price up front.

Can I use KMO-portefeuille?

Yes, our certified trainings are eligible for KMO-portefeuille. Indicate that you want to use it during your registration and we will send you the further instructions. Don’t forget to also register the training on the ‘KMO Portefeuille’-platform using our recognition number: DV.O 246005.

Where can I find my invoice?

We send your invoice digitally via email after registration.

Can I cancel or move my registration to another date?

Get in touch with us as soon as you know (at least 3 weeks in advance, except for illness) and we will go over the different options with you, whether that is moving you to a later date or transferring your seat to a colleague.

Can I book a training for several colleagues at once?

Our open trainings are booked one person at a time, so each colleague completes their own registration. If you are sending a whole team, an in-house training is usually the better option: you get the group together, at your location, with the content aimed at your own context. Often at a lower cost per person.
